Volunteer Drivers

Love getting out and about in Hampshire while making a real difference to people in your local area?
If you enjoy driving and want to help people with life-limiting illnesses enjoy the things that matter to them, becoming a volunteer driver could be the perfect role for you.

Time commitment

Flexible, depending on people's needs. Shifts between 9am and 3:30pm, Monday to Thursday.

You will be involved in

  • Picking up patients from home and driving them to and from the Francis Sheldon Centre - Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice (West End)
  • Talking to patients and engaging with them to make sure they are comfortable and put at ease during their journey
  • Being a friendly face and a listening ear

You will be

Skills

You would need to

  • Have a clean driving licence
  • Drive your own vehicle if appropriate - All expenses paid
  • Willingness to pass a driving assessment
  • Be DBS checked which we will organise
  • Enjoy meeting new people and being part of a team
  • Understand confidentiality
