We are looking for volunteers to help run our new memory café in Chandlers Ford
The Memory Café is for anyone living with dementia and for anyone who is lonely, isolated or to make friends.
Each week we will have different themes, activities and at times entertainment,
Our volunteers welcome visitors, serve refreshments and sit down and chat with those who attend.
This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, support people who benefit from social interaction and be part of a great community charity
Skills
- We welcome volunteers of all ages who like to make friends and talk to people on an equal basis
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to take part in and lead group sessions
- Enjoy chatting to people of all ages
- Training will be provided

The venue us fully accessible and has parking also on bus route - Age restrictions
14+ - DBS check required
We will undertake the DBS check after a trial period. If on the update service we can use that - Equal Opportunities Policy

We support all volunteers and have team meetings, individual support and training sessions - Training provided
We arrange Dementia Friends Training Sessions and other ongoing training - Volunteer induction

We have public liability insurance in place - Written role description
The role description is available at the time of applying and included in the induction pack
