Neurodivergent Arts CIC is a neurodivergent-led creative health organisation in its first year. We would love to hear from you if you’d like to be part of a small Stakeholder Board helping us lay strong, sustainable foundations.
We aim for at least 75% of our Stakeholder Board to be neurodivergent or have close lived experience of neurodivergence (for example, as a parent/carer or family member). Allies who are genuinely committed to neuro-affirming practice are also very welcome.
This voluntary Wellbeing role will suit someone who cares about how it feels to do this work, not just what gets done. You’ll help embed small, realistic wellbeing practices so our facilitators, volunteers and staff can sustain their roles.
You will:
- Run one monthly creative wellbeing/check-in session for the team (online or in person)
- Help create wellbeing policy for staff and participants
- Notice pressure points and suggest practical, achievable adjustments to support staff and volunteers
We’re looking for around 5+ years’ experience in mental health, coaching, supervision, support work, creative health, youth or community work (or equivalent experience), with a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming approach.
Time: 7–14 hours per month, including around 4 short meetings a year. This is a voluntary, advisory/stewardship role (not a legal director position), with flexible, access-aware ways to contribute.
Skills
- Background in mental health, coaching, supervision, support work or creative health practice
- Experience supporting the wellbeing of staff, volunteers or practitioners in community/arts/health settings
- Trauma-informed, neuro-affirming approach to people and group dynamics
- Confidence designing and facilitating short wellbeing/check-in sessions (online or in-person)
- Ability to create simple, realistic wellbeing practices (debriefs, protocols, check-ins) that fit small teams
- Good listening skills and calm, practical problem-solving
- Comfortable working alongside Safeguarding and Directors to flag pressure points and risks of burnout
