Neurodivergent Arts CIC is a neurodivergent-led creative health organisation in its first year. We would love to hear from you if you’d like to be part of a small Stakeholder Board helping us lay strong, sustainable foundations.
We aim for at least 75% of our Stakeholder Board to be neurodivergent or have close lived experience of neurodivergence (for example, as a parent/carer or family member). If you are an ally who shares our values and want to support a neurodivergent-led CIC with your design/communications skills, we’d love to hear from you too.
This voluntary Design, Content & Communications role will suit someone who enjoys visual storytelling and accessible design. You’ll help us communicate clearly about our groups, exhibitions and opportunities.
You will:
- Create and refine simple templates for flyers, PDFs, slide decks and social media posts
- Help shape a consistent visual identity (using our existing colours, fonts and tone of voice)
- Support social media and basic marketing, especially around new groups and exhibitions
- Build a small, organised asset library (logos, images, copy snippets) the team can re-use
We’re looking for around 8+ years’ experience in design, communications, marketing or a related role (or equivalent experience), ideally with CICs, charities, arts or community projects.
Time: 7–14 hours per month, including around 4 short meetings a year. This is a voluntary, advisory/stewardship role (not a statutory Director position), with flexible, access-aware ways to contribute.
Skills
- Experience creating visual communications (flyers, PDFs, social media graphics, simple slide decks)
- Confident using design tools such as Canva / Adobe or similar
- Understanding of accessible, neurodivergent-friendly design (clear fonts, contrast, low sensory overload, simple layouts)
- Experience in social media, marketing or communications for CICs/charities/arts/community projects
- Ability to write or edit short, engaging copy for posts, newsletters, websites or posters
- Organised in managing templates, brand assets and file libraries so others can reuse them
- Comfortable working with Funding and Evaluation roles to visually communicate impact and opportunities
