Musical Group Helpers - Countywide

Thanks to National Lottery funding Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW are excited to be able to extend their services across Hampshire in 2024.

We host a monthly Musical Moments Group for people living with dementia and their family carer, where community choirs, ukulele bands and musicians provide 45 minutes of musical moments followed by tea/coffee, cake and conversation.

Many group members will sing a long or get up and dance and may need help to partcipate.

We are looking for volunteers to help at the group once a month for 2 hours. 

The role will involve helping the Group Leader to ensure the smooth running of the event, and talking to and assisting group members to participate, and to help with tea/coffee/cake and conversation.

Full training will be given and you will be supported by our Peer Support Coordinator.

No musical experience needed, just kind, compassionate people to help the smooth running of the group and assist group members to participate.
