Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW host a monthly Musical Moments Group in partnership with Linden House Care Home in Lymington, for people living with dementia and their family carer.
Local choirs, ukulele bands, and musicians come to the group to provide musical stimulation for our group members. Many group members will sing a long or get up and dance.
We are looking for volunteers to help at the group once a month for 2 hours. Every fourth Tuesday each month 1.30pm-3.30pm.
The role will involve helping the venue to ensure the smooth running of the event, and talking to and assisting group members to participate, and to help with tea/coffee/cake and conversation.
Full training will be given and you will be supported by our New Forest Peer Support Coordinator.
Skills
No musical experience needed, just kind, compassionate people to help the smooth running of the group and assist group members to participate.
