Fundraising & Events Volunteer

Help us raise funds, spread the word and bring our community together!

Gosport Community Support is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with our fundraising activities, events and community engagement.

This is a flexible role and you can get involved as much or as little as your availability allows. You might help at fundraising events and community stalls, sell raffle tickets, prepare materials, approach local businesses for support or prizes, help promote events, come up with fundraising ideas, or lend a hand with setting up and packing away.

There may also be opportunities to help us plan and organise events or take responsibility for particular fundraising activities if you would like to be more involved.

You don't need fundraising experience - enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved are much more important. Whether you can help occasionally at events or would like to become a regular part of our fundraising team, we'd love to hear from you.

Every pound we raise helps Gosport Community Support continue providing services for older and vulnerable people in our local community.

Skills

No previous fundraising experience is required. We're looking for people who are:

• Friendly, enthusiastic and approachable
• Happy to work as part of a team
• Reliable and willing to get involved
• Comfortable talking to members of the public
• Supportive of the work of Gosport Community Support
• Able to follow instructions and agreed procedures

Depending on how you'd like to get involved, creativity, organisational skills, social media skills, experience of events or fundraising, or links with local businesses and community groups would all be useful - but none are essential.

We welcome both regular volunteers and people who may only be able to help at occasional events.
