Join the Testwood Lakes Sailability Fundraising & Events Team!
Testwood Lakes Sailability (TLS) is a volunteer-run charity that provides dinghy sailing for people with any disability. Our work changes lives — and now we’re looking to grow the team that helps make it all possible.
We’re creating a small team of volunteer fundraisers and events organisers to support our operation and help us further improve our facilities. We currently run limited fundraising, but we’re ready to scale up with fresh ideas, more activity, and more community engagement.
What will the team do?
- Develop and run fundraising activities to support and grow TLS.
- Organise and attend local publicity events to raise awareness and attract new volunteers.
- Bring forward new ideas for community engagement, fundraising, and visibility.
- Coordinate with the wider volunteer group to ensure we have people on the ground when needed.
- Keep communication flowing so everyone involved knows where to be and what’s happening.
When?
These roles are flexible and mostly independent of our sailing operations — no fixed days or times. You choose when to work on planning and organising; the only fixed commitments are the events themselves.
Who would enjoy this?
People who like being creative, communicating with others, and bringing people together. If you enjoy organising things, have a knack for finding opportunities in the community, or simply love the idea of supporting an inclusive local charity, we’d love to meet you.
Why get involved?
You’ll be helping TLS continue offering accessible sailing and improving our facilities for the future. Plus, you’ll join a warm, enthusiastic community with plenty of room for your ideas to shine.
If you’re interested or want to know more, please register your interest — we’d be delighted to hear from you!
