Testwood Lakes Sailability (TLS) provides dinghy sailing for people with any disability. TLS have a wheelchair accessible pontoon with hoists which enables wheelchair users to access the dinghies. The dinghies are Hansa Access 303’s which are purpose built for the use of people with disabilities, they have a high level of stability and have positive buoyancy. This means that the dinghy can remain sailing with the two crew even if the cockpit become flooded. Each sailor is issued with a personal buoyancy aid which must be worn at all times when near the water. There is an Operational Support Boat and crew available at all times, while we are sailing, if assistance is required. Affiliated to the RYA.
