Help create meaningful connections for people affected by dementia.
Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW is looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Social Group Leader to help run one of our dementia-friendly community groups. Our groups provide a welcoming space where people living with dementia, their families and carers can meet others, enjoy activities, share experiences and build friendships.
As a Social Group Leader, you will work alongside volunteers and staff to welcome attendees, facilitate activities such as arts and crafts, reminiscence sessions, quizzes and cognitive stimulation games, encourage conversation and social interaction, and help create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment. You will play a key role in ensuring everyone feels valued, listened to and connected.
Every Thursday afternoon 1.30m-3.30pm
By volunteering just a few hours each month, you can make a real difference to the lives of local people living with dementia and help ensure nobody faces dementia alone.
