Drivers are required to help with driving our patients to and from the Hospice, ideally in our adapted vans, although some drivers use their own cars.
This service is vital to enable our patients to come to the Day Hospice where they can enjoy a full range of facilities with us.
Skills
We're looking for people who can drive on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. You'll be asked to collect the patients from their homes and bring them in to arrive at the Hospice around 10.30am, and then return for them at 2pm. Training on patient interaction, hoists, wheelchairs and manual handling will be given and a mileage allowance paid if using your own car.
