Volunteers wanted for Otterbourne Care Home (Winchester)

We are looking for people to join our team of volunteers and support us at our wonderful care Home in Otterbourne for a few hours every week (we can be flexible, but generally ask for a few hours between 10-12 and 2-4pm Monday - Sunday.

These roles would require you to be positive, empathetic person  and demonstrate a willingness to help older people. Ideally, you will be a team player and happy to get involved in any aspect of the Home. This could involve getting residents to participate in activities, reading to them, playing games, going for a walk, chatting and keeping someone company.  You may also have a specific skill or interest you would like to share with our members; we’re always on the lookout for new activities – if so we’d be very interested to hear from you.

We provide you with bespoke training which includes: Induction, safeguarding, health & safety and first aid. There are also ongoing development opportunities available. All volunteers are automatically entitled to free Brendoncare community membership, giving you access to a wide range of services.

This role requires you to be a confident communicator and an empathetic, positive, calm and welcoming approach. No experience is required as all training will be provided.
