We are looking for a volunteer to support our activity days of our SWANS group. This group provides support for parents/carers with children with additional needs, no diagnosis necessary.
This group is run by our charity "Families Matter". We are based in Hythe, Hampshire and support families in the Waterside and New Forest area. We offer free parenting courses but also support groups for people living with Dementia, Women's Wellbeing Group, families coping with addictions and our biggest project is supporting year 6 children in their transition to secondary school.
The activity days are run by Emily, our group leader, and are usually on a Friday morning in the school holidays. Our group leader is looking for someone to support these activities as they can get really busy. The activities wary from bouncy castle, different entertainers to arts & crafts.
We would like to offer these days as a respite for parents to leave their children in our care for that time.
