Volunteer Coordinator

Gosport and Fareham Friends of the Earth are looking for a voluntary Coordinator to help with the smooth running of the group, identify potential projects and publicise group activities to our members. 

The Coordinator acts as our named contact for the national Friends of the Earth organisation and reports back to them on our local activities, as well as chairing our quarterly meetings and disseminating information to members.

Key Responsibilities

Acting as link between the national organisation and local members

• Handling email enquiries
• Identify campaigns that the local group could work on
• Ensure essential tasks are delegated among members
• Set the agenda and chair quarterly meetings and the AGM
• Maintain a diary of upcoming events and send updates to members

Meetings are held in person every quarter with the potential for additional online meetings and opportunity to join our social and campaign events.

Skills

We are a small but dedicated and social group from across the boroughs of Gosport and Fareham and have been raising local awareness about environmental issues for over 30 years. We campaign on both national and local issues with our members being the lifeblood of the group. We were proud winners of the 2018 ‘Local Group of the Year’ award.
