Can you spare an hour a week to support our Thursday sports sessions based at Wildern School, Hedge End, 6 - 7pm?
We do a different sport every few weeks, such as lacrosse, volleyball, tag rugby, cricket etc. Sessions are led by a qualified sports coach, and volunteers help set up activities, and assist club members to participate in the session. You don't need to be particularly sporty, just enthusiastic and willing to give it a go and get involved!
Our club was set up 21 years ago, and is run by a small committee. Club members all have learning disabilities and some physical disabilities.
Volunteers really make a big difference in our sessions, supporting the coach, helping and encouraging club members to join in and develop skills.
