- Welcome attendees warmly and help set up the group space before sessions.
- Support participants during group activities such as arts, crafts, music, reminiscence, or gentle exercise.
- Encourage conversation, inclusion, and positive interaction among attendees.
- Prepare and serve refreshments where needed (following hygiene guidelines).
- Assist with tidying up and resetting the venue after sessions.
- Observe and report any wellbeing concerns or changes in attendees to staff.
- Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety standards at all times.
- Be an ambassador for Recapture Life’s values of dignity, kindness, and empowerment.
Skills
- Empathetic, patient, and respectful attitude.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Reliable and able to work as part of a supportive team.
- Comfortable engaging with people living with dementia.
- Positive and encouraging, with a sense of humour and warmth.
