Fundraising Lead Volunteer

Approximately 2 hours per week.  More on specific dates if necessary.

Fundraising & Income Generation

Research and approach local businesses and corporate social responsibility (CSR) partners.

Develop and lead crowdfunding campaigns (JustGiving, GoFundMe, Aviva, etc.).

Plan, promote and deliver small- to medium-scale community fundraising events (coffee mornings, raffles, sponsored walks, gala nights, etc.).

Prepare compelling fundraising messages, cases for support and donor communications.

Advocacy & Representation

Act as an ambassador for Recapture Life at community and corporate engagement opportunities.

Present the organisation’s mission and impact to potential supporters, partners and donors.

Influence and inspire others to donate, collaborate or sponsor services.

Governance & Coordination

Work with staff to set fundraising targets and timelines.

Maintain records of donations and supporter relationships in line with GDPR.

Report on progress, opportunities and risks to the Leadership Team.

Ensure all activity aligns with ethical fundraising practice and Recapture Life’s ethos.

Skills

Confident, persuasive communicator with ability to engage different audiences.

Organised and self-motivated, able to work autonomously within a framework.

Creative thinking with a solution-focused approach.

Comfortable networking and presenting.

Experience in fundraising, events, sales, business development or marketing (desirable but not essential).

Commitment to the values of dignity, inclusion and compassion for people living with dementia.
