Marketing Assistant Volunteer

• LOCATION: Tools for Self Reliance main office (SO40 7GY) - though some aspects of the role may be possible to undertake at home remotely.

• HOURS: We ask for a minimum of 3 hours per week between 9.30am-4.pm, Mon-Fri Preferred days can be discussed application.

• Volunteers must be 18+

ROLE PURPOSE:

We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our team on a volunteer basis. This role is all about getting stuck in, learning as you go, and helping us spread the word about what we do. 

KEY ACTIVITIES:

• Researching local businesses, publications, media outlets (local and national), and educational institutions we can approach.
• Helping plan and support internal and external events.
• Writing blogs and other content to share our stories.
• Proofreading marketing materials.
• Supporting with database management and general admin.
• Helping to promote our retail offerings.

Skills

You don’t need previous experience, just a willingness to get involved, a good eye for detail, and the confidence to share ideas - though good verbal/written communication skills will be essential, as will good working knowledge of IT, internet and Microsoft Office programmes.
