Hampshire Healthy Families Ready Steady Walk Leader - Havant

The Hampshire Healthy Families 0-19 service is a partnership between Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Barnardo’s. We are looking for friendly people to lead our walking groups.

We need dedicated volunteers to support the running of our weekly social walking groups for parents (Ready Steady Walk)

The groups meet at the same time and place each week and are informal social events to allow parents to meet together.

We are seeking volunteers to support with the following walk starting from:

The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre, Havant, PO9 1BS - Tuesdays 1.30pm

As part of this role you would also promote positive health messages to young families.

Skills

Do you have:

• A wish to volunteer with children and adults
• Good listening skills and a caring approach
• Patience and friendliness

Are You:

• A ‘people person’ who is positive and encouraging;
• Open-minded and flexible in your approach;
• Willing to input your hours into our online volunteering system each time you volunteer;
• Happy to provide satisfactory references and for Barnardo’s to complete a DBS check before you start your role?
