Guest Marshal Volunteer

This is a varied role, with volunteers participating in a range of tasks supporting the guest experience in the museum.

Guest Marshal tasks include:

• Welcoming visitors to the museum and answering visitors’ general questions
• Learning about the exhibits and talking to visitors about them as appropriate
• Engaging with visitors and assisting wherever possible
• Helping to open up the museum ready to receive visitors and close at the end of the day
• Monitoring area volunteering in and assisting to keep the area clean and tidy for visitors to enjoy
• Opportunity to engage make new friends and work as a team with existing volunteers
• Opportunity to meet new and interesting people who visit the museum

Skills

• No previous experience is necessary, however customer service background would be an advantage. 
• Good people skills to communicate well to our visitors
• Ideally, basic tool skills are an advantage
  
• Friendly outlook and ability to work as part of a team
