At Chapel Stores, a community owned shop in East Boldre, our customers enjoy our baked from frozen bread and fresh sandwiches made on the premises. We also have a cafe once or twice a week for which our volunteers make lovely cakes.
The bread baking is done at 07.30 and the sandwiches are made from 09.00 onwards. The cakes are made at home ready for the cafe, which is usually on Thursday or Friday. There is also an opportunity to help in the cafe, serving tea, coffee and cake.
Skills
Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification essential. This is an online course that costs £10 (reimbursed) and does not have to be done all at the same time. You can go in, complete a section, save it and return later to continue.
This level of qualification is a good addition to any CV and gives valuable information for use in life generally.
