The 13th Itchen North Scout Group based in Hedge End has exciting opportunities for volunteers looking for an engaging and rewarding experience helping young people gain skills for life.
Role Outline:
Supporting the operation of your chosen Section; Beaver Scouts (6-8), Cub Scouts (8-10) or Scouts (10-14). All meet weekly during term time.
In particular, the planning and delivery of the 'Balanced Programme' alongside the rest of the leadership team, helping young people develop skills for life through new experiences and working towards Scouting awards.
Responsible to:
Group Lead Volunteer.
Appointment Requirements:
Must complete the appointment process (including acceptable personal enquiries and acceptance of The Scout Association's policies). During the 5 months of Provisional Appointment, the 'Getting Started' training modules must be completed.
Skills
No specific skills are required, but a willingness to try new things and get stuck in will serve you well!
There is no requirement to have been involved in Scouting before, just some time to support Scouting.
