Offering family support and practical help and friendship on a regular basis within the family's own home. 2/3 hours only each week where possible.
Following initial training, volunteers negotiate their visiting time of 2/3 hours weekly, with the family they are matched with. This is flexible.
Skills
- Volunteers must have parenting experience and be prepared to support one or more families on a regular basis.
- Training given by way of volunteer's preparation course.
- Ability to listen and be non-judgmental.
