Emsworth Show Chair

We are looking for volunteers to support the planning and running of the annual Emsworth Show, which is open to all the family with craft, gardening & food stalls as well entertainment for all. The show takes place in the One Church Grounds off Thorney Road in Emsworth on the Bank Holiday Monday in August. Planning for this event tends to start in January/February and the set up for the event at the grounds takes place from the Friday prior to the show on the Monday. There is a core team of volunteers that oversee the planning and set up of the show and they are keen to hear from volunteers who would be willing to help. The team is looking to fill a number of volunteer roles.

As Show Chair, you will help bring together a dedicated team of volunteers to make this annual event a success.

The role involves:

• Chairing committee meetings, ensuring everyone’s ideas and contributions are heard.
  
• Liaising with the Emsworth Horticultural Society throughout the year to address any issues or updates.
  
• Supporting and coordinating the show’s managers and team leads, helping them deliver their parts of the event smoothly.
  
• Agreeing small financial decisions in partnership with our Treasurer and the Horticultural Society.

It’s a rewarding opportunity to work with a passionate group of people, support our local community, and help shape one of Emsworth’s most popular events.
