Butterflies Bereavement Service provides support to adults struggling with bereavement, grief or loss across Hampshire through counselling, peer support groups and a weekly friendship phone call service. All the services are delivered by volunteers, suitably trained and with relevant checks.
The counselling service at Butterflies Bereavement Support is looking for a volunteer to manage the counselling teams. Ideally you will be an experienced qualified counsellor, prepared to be the teams’ Clinical Lead.
We have a team of 20 qualified counsellors and eight placement counsellors working out of the charity’s registered office in Eastleigh. The majority of the team work from home whilst those on placement use the counselling room in the with the qualifying counsellors.
Skills
- The allocation of clients.
- The recruitment and processing of eight placement posts.
- The monitoring of placement counsellors.
- Liaison with two self-employed supervisors.
- Ensuring the ethical working of the service.
- Supporting the Trustees in their decisions involved in the working of the service.
The team is supported by the admirable Norma who provides all the admin required.
