Could you be our Volunteer Coordinator?

We are looking for someone to help us with our volunteers. We have a number of projects that have amazing volunteers but we sometimes miss out because we don't have one or two people who have their finger on the pulse of who is doing what. Could you be that person?

You would need to have generally good admin skills, be willing to communicate with people both online and via telephone. You would need to have light procedures in place so you know who is helping out where. You would need to be the first point of contact for those who want to get involved in community projects across the Borough but, currently, mainly around Leigh Park and central Havant, although that could change. Everything can be done remotely so you don't need to worry about getting to specific places to do this role. Is this you?

We would expect that this should take no more than about 1 hour a week once the systems are set up. You would have support from Havant Borough Council Officers who will help set up workable solutions and give any necessary guidance.

Skills

• A good, organised, brain
• A willingness to get to know the projects and those involved with them
• Good communication skills
• A willingness to keep everyone up to date with what is happening
• Be available to reply to emails and phone calls as required (we are happy that anyone taking on this role set parameters on when that time might be)
• Time to give to getting the systems in place. Then a regular commitment to approximately 1 hour a week
