The Community Food Pantry is Unit 12's flagship community project and enables local people to get more food for less. We work with local organisations and supermarkets to help reduce food waste and improve access to food.
Our Community Food Pantry Assistants are a vital part of the pantry operation and assist the pantry in a variety of ways, including:
- supporting users with their weekly shop
- managing and updating stock on shelves
- signposting users to additional support
This role is a great way to meet lots of people and contribute to the wellbeing of our users. The pantry opening hours cover mornings, evenings and weekends so hopefully they'll be a volunteer slot to suit everyone!
