Brendoncare offer a range of services from community support and clubs, through to extra care housing and residential care, helping thousands of people across the south of the UK. These services are designed to empower people to live their whole life well, and it is largely down to the kindness, bravery and positivity of our volunteers that we are able to do so.
This role will involve meeting people, being able to operate on your own and as part of the volunteering team. Volunteer drivers are integral to our clubs team as many of our members would be unable to attend without the transport offered. And it’s not just about the driving; friendships are formed, fun and laughter experienced on the journeys to and from the clubs. We’re currently looking for more people to get involved in your local area.
Skills
This role in particular would require you to be an experienced and competent driver with access to your own vehicle. You must have a full UK driving licence and car insurance covering you to undertake the role. If you don’t have these particular skills then please do contact us to talk about other opportunities.
We ask for two satisfactory references and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check - at no cost to you. We provide you with bespoke training which includes: Induction, Safeguarding, Health & Safety and First Aid. There are also ongoing training and development opportunities available. We provide reimbursement of out of pocket expenses.
