Assistant Scout Leaders

Support the operation of the Section, in particular, the planning and delivery of the Balanced Programme, with the help of other Section Leaders, Assistant Section Leaders, Section Assistants, Young Leaders and members of Scout Active Support as appropriate. Some of the tasks for which the Assistant Section Leader is responsible may be delegated to others in the Section, including other Section Leaders, Assistant Section Leaders and Section Assistants.

Role will include relevant and required training.

Scouts currently meet on a Friday evening. There will be other time when we go on camp or other activities, which may on a different night.

Skills

  • Ability to communicate with young people aged 10.5 - 14/14.5.
  • Life skills are more important than any specific or particular skills.
  • It's not necessary to have been a Scout previously.
  • Most important is the desire to learn new skills, have fun and be a role model for the young people in the Scout Troop.
