The Hythe & District Voluntary Car Group is part of Hampshire County Council's Good Neighbours Network. We provide support to the local community by offering a door-to-door transport service for adults in the Waterside area for medical appointments - doctors, hospital, dentist, physio etc.
The majority of our clients are elderly and have a range of mobility issues and therefore, catching a bus, or sometimes multiple buses, is just not a viable option; nor is the cost of multiple taxi fares.
The Hythe & District Voluntary Car Group is overseen by an elected Committee, and the membership includes, Drivers, Call Handlers, Co-ordinators, a Data Controller and a representative for H&S and Safeguarding.
