Youth Worker Volunteer - Portchester, Fareham

We are a youth work charity based in South Hampshire that was formed in 2011. We support young people primarily between the ages of 10-19 years. Activities involve offering youth clubs, one to one support and specialist support to young people. We support young people to meet in a safe space and learn through youth work.

We are looking for volunteers to help support our Youth Projects working with two youth workers at Recharge Youth Club in Portchester, undertaking a variety of activities which can include: arts and crafts, gaming, learning new skills and activities which support young people to be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve and support experiences to help them during their adolescence.

Recharge Youth Club takes place at Red Barn Primary School between 6.30pm and 8.30pm every Tuesday evening (except Bank Holidays plus 2 week Christmas shut down).

Skills

We are looking for a volunteer who is interested in working with children and young people who can help develop the youth club programme, support the activities delivered and be a positive role model to the young people who attend.

You will need to be willing to “have a go” at activities offered which could include: gaming, playing pool, life skills and activities that support the needs of the young people.
