Young Carers Activity Volunteers

Are you willing and able to give up some time helping Young Carers have a break from their caring responsibilities?

We need people who can lend a hand at activities - this could be anything from encouraging a Young Carer to join in with a game, to supervising a lunch break or even passing on some of your own skills and knowledge in one of our workshops.

This is a flexible and sometimes ad-hoc opportunity as our activities range from youth club sessions after school, to holiday activities and some weekends.

However, at the moment, we are keen to recruit new volunteers who would be willing to help out as an extra adult for our small group activities which happen usually at weekends.

We also need drivers and support volunteers. If you feel one of those roles may be more suited to you, please check our other opportunities.

Please be aware though that because of the nature of our work, all our staff and volunteers have to have an enhanced DBS check. We will arrange this for you if necessary.

Skills

• Although previous experience of working/volunteering with children and young people is useful, it is not necessary
• Volunteers will be given training and support
