Grayshott & District Housing was established in 1936 to provide affordable housing to rent for local people and owns thirty-nine properties. Fourteen new flats have been completed within Grayshott. We are a small group of volunteers with diverse backgrounds, supported by a part-time administrator and would welcome two or three additional Board Members, especially women, to add to our skills and experience.
The Trustee Board meets every two months and there is a Committee and working group structure supporting this. Trustees are ambitious to continue developing and improving the housing stock to support the village community.
Ideally Volunteer Trustees would live locally and know the Grayshott village and immediate area.
Skills
We welcome volunteers with Property Management, Law, Social Care, or similar housing experience to join us. Strategic planning, as well as practical ideas, would help us.
The key qualification is enthusiasm for providing quality affordable housing.
