Youth Options delivers targeted outdoor youth work and alternative provision programmes for children and young people who are at risk of disengagement from education, school exclusion, or social exclusion. Our Outdoor Learning Centres provide safe, welcoming outdoor environments that support learning, wellbeing and personal development.
Youth Options is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Volunteer Lead Gardener to help develop and maintain our market garden at our Outdoor Learning Alternative Provision site in Bishopstoke, Hampshire.
This volunteer role is initially maternity cover for the 2026/27 growing season, focusing on the planning, cultivation, and development of a productive and sustainable growing space.
While opportunities to share gardening skills with young people may arise, the primary focus is horticultural leadership. We would be delighted if the successful volunteer chose to remain involved beyond the maternity cover period, working alongside our existing gardener as the market garden continues to grow.
