Can you help us improve our social media presence?
We run several projects and finding time to actively promote and update them on social media is an area of our work we want to improve. This is a home based opportunity, but we would need to meet occasional on site in Blackfield.
We have a long list of ambitions for our social media. You might take on all or only some of these responsibilities based on the time you can commit and your skills. We will work closely with you whilst we learn together.
We are looking for a great team player to help us with content creation and guide us in all things social media. The main tasks are to help us:
- Craft engaging social media posts, captions, and articles.
- Create visual content like images, infographics, and short videos using tools like Canva.
- Take photos for social media or sourcing high-quality images to represent our projects.
- Create Video content.
- Schedule posts
- Help us plan and managing a content calendar, so that we post regularly and promote important events.
- Engage with followers by answering questions, thanking them for feedback, and responding to comments.
- Help us to engage with followers and other relevant accounts to build a community around the brand.
- Running polls or surveys: To get feedback and engage your audience in real-time.
There will be more and we would love to be guided by your experience and knowledge on how to grow our social media presence and develop our brand.
Skills
We want our social media volunteers to have a mix of skills including:
- good written communication;
- creativity;
- technical know-how;
- community-building skills;
- and the ability to engage with our various audiences.
You will need to be able to adapt to the project’s evolving needs (we are always coming up with new ideas and projects!) and foster a positive, inclusive online environment for the community.
