“A digital world accessible to all”
Award winning IT charity AbilityNet is looking for IT Support volunteers to help people get the most out of technology across UK. We support older and disabled people to use technology, from setting up a new device, to showing how to use Zoom or do an Internet food shop.
The role is flexible to fit in with your needs and commitments, supporting clients can be carried out remotely and/or face-to-face. The role will receive support from local area volunteer coordinators.
What will I be doing?
- Upon a referral via AbilityNet contacting clients to arrange a date/time to support.
- Carrying out IT support to the clients.
- Feeding back on progress via our online system.
- Opportunities to support your local Coordinator with promoting the volunteer service in the local area, for example leaflet dropping or displaying some posters in your local area.
