Financial Trustee

We are looking for someone with experience in financial management and governance. They will oversee the group as a whole with the other trustees/directors and operations people. They need to live near or in Havant so they can attend occasional meetings in person and understand the issues around Havant. Knowledge of non-profit governance  would be useful.  

We are a new group of volunteers working to put solar panels on community centres, reduce energy use and studying the feasibility of a small solar park on a historical landfill. We were granted funding by national lottery and have been working with GBE on the landfill project. 

The trustee would attend meetings with the entire group and commercial/finance subcommittee. They would help us prepare the structure and governance of the group for a share offer.

Skills

• We are looking for someone who works easily with a volunteer group.
• Someone with commercial/financial experience.
• Experience with non-profit/charity is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with governance.
