Event Stewards - Fareham Community Showcase - Sat 4th July 2026

Event Overview

The Fareham Community Showcase is an event that celebrates the charitable and not for profit sector in the Borough. It provides an opportunity for local groups to meet the public and raise awareness of their services. 

This year the event will form part of Fareham Big Weekend, the Borough’s annual free family-friendly festival taking place across the Town centre.  

Over 40 stall holders will take part in the event which will take place on Bath Lane recreation ground on Saturday 4th July.  A full programme of live music is also planned at an adjacent entertainment tent. 

Mini bus transport will be available from Central Fareham to bring exhibitors to the venue

Event Stewards (Bath Lane)

• Meet and greet stall-holders accessing the Bath Lane site by mini-bus and on foot
• Help with setting up stalls in the marquee
• Putting up A frames
• Checking Public Liability insurance documents for all stall-holders
• Issuing numbers on each stall-holder table

Event stewards (Civic Centre north car park)

·       Ensuring participants safely access the mini-bus

Availability

Either morning (7.45 am – 12pm), afternoon (12.00-4.30 pm) or all day, but we are flexible if you can only help for a couple of hours.

Skills

• Good communication skills: The ability to confidently engage with members of the public
• Friendly and approachable: Being welcoming and personable to encourage positive interactions at events.
• Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure the smooth running of events.
