Christmas Day Chef Wanted

Could you help us create a special Christmas meal for local people?

Community First is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic volunteer chef to help plan and prepare our Annual Christmas Lunch and lead the kitchen team on Christmas Day.

The role will involve planning the menu and quantities in advance, preparation and cooking on Christmas Day, and overseeing the kitchen throughout the event.

You’ll be working alongside other volunteers to make sure a delicious Christmas meal is prepared and served to our guests.

This role would suit someone with catering or professional cooking experience who enjoys working with others and wants to use their skills to make a real difference at Christmas.

You’ll need to be able to make your own way to Cams Hill School.

Skills

We would ideally like to find a volunteer chef who holds appropriate food hygiene qualifications and is willing to lead a team of volunteer kitchen helpers to plan, prepare and deliver a traditional three course Christmas Lunch for up to 120 guests and volunteers on Christmas Day.

All food items will be sourced by the Community First team but, prior to the event, we would expect to discuss with the chef what help is required in the kitchen and when, as well as the menu itself and the quantities of food needed to be procured.
