Chairperson

Our current Chairperson will be standing down from that position at our AGM in April 2026 having been in post for 4 years,

We are seeking an enthusiastic person who can continue to help develop our organisation

We are a small community voluntary group providing transport for people who are unable to access public transport to attend their medical appointments.  We were previously known as 'Hordle Voluntary Care Group' but changed the name in 2021 to 'Hordle Volunteer Driver Group' to better reflect the service we provide.

Our committee consists of six people including the Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Co-ordinator.  We meet approximately 4 times a year.

We are looking for a person who resides in the Tiptoe, Hordle or Everton area or who live just outside those parishes.

We have approximately 180 clients and undertake between 50 - 80 drivers a month travelling to hospitals in the area and to local surgeries, dentist, opticians etc.

Skills

• Leadership skills to manage a small team of volunteers.
• Good communication skills .
• Willing to represent the Group at meetings as and when necessary.
• Experience in advertising and recruiting volunteers would be an advantage but not essential.
