What our volunteers say about Children and Families Volunteers:
“I became a Children and Families Volunteer in 2018, following retirement. Volunteering
allowed me to continue to be part of a wider society and is rewarding in a very different
way to work. It enables me to give something back to the community by helping families
who are going through a challenging time in their lives. As a volunteer, I like to think I’ve helped a family through a difficult period, so they’re able to move forward needing less help to live a more fulfilled life, with enjoyable times, rather than life being just one challenge after another."
Since 2015, our volunteers - supported by a team from Hampshire County Council - have been working to support families, children and young people across the county.
Our opportunities range from mentoring young people and supporting families, to acting as a trusted adult to children and young people in care and conducting conversations with young people who have returned after going mi
