Trustee

Become a Trustee and Help Shape the Future of Denmead Community Centre.

Could you help shape the future of an important part of our local community?

Denmead Community Centre has been at the heart of village life for many years. Housed in the former Denmead school, the Centre has evolved into a much-loved community facility, providing a welcoming place for local people to meet, take part in activities, attend events and enjoy time together.

Today, the Centre is home to a wide range of clubs, groups, activities and community events. With a variety of rooms and facilities available, it provides an important space for people of all ages and interests.

We are now looking for new Trustees to join our Board and help guide the Centre into its next chapter.

What does being a Trustee involve?

Trustees play an important role in ensuring that Denmead Community Centre is well run, financially sustainable and able to continue meeting the needs of the community.

Working together as a Board, Trustees help set the overall direction of the Centre, consider its future development and make decisions that support its long-term success.

Trustees also have an important role to play in supporting the Centre’s events and activities. We are looking for people who are willing to get involved, lend a hand and help make events welcoming, enjoyable and successful. Whether it’s helping with planning, organising, promoting or being there on the day, your involvement can make a real difference to the Centre and the wider community.

Skills

We are particularly interested in hearing from people who can bring useful skills, experience or a fresh perspective. This might include experience in:

  • Finance or accounting
  • Business or management
  • Fundraising
  • Marketing and communications
  • Property and facilities
  • Legal or governance matters
  • Community development
  • Voluntary or charitable organisations

However, you don't need to be an expert or have previous experience as a Trustee. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, dependable, willing to contribute their ideas and, above all, care about the future of Denmead Community Centre and the community it serves.
