Deckhands help maintain the rigging, steelwork and deck machinery on board this historic steamship so that she is preserved in excellent condition and is safe to carry passengers.
This is a physical, outdoor role, involving climbing ladders and using heavy and noisy machinery. Regular maintenance tasks include painting, cleaning and scaling.
Deckhand volunteers are part of a strong team supervised by the Bosun. If you can bring your skills to our team or are willing to learn maintenance tasks and help preserve this wonderful ship, please get in touch.
