You don’t need to be an education expert to become a governor. What matters most is your commitment and willingness to learn. Useful skills include:

- Time to dedicate to the role
Experience in areas like education, finance, HR, or business can be helpful, but is not essential.
Governors meetings are held roughly on one morning every half-term. There will be occasional visits to the school required at other times to perform specific activities/meetings.
