Board and or Sub Committee Members

Established in 2018, Hythe Pier Heritage Association (HPHA) is a Charitable Community Benefit Society. Our aims are to secure the long-term future of the pier and its historic railway. Through a series of projects we are preserving and restoring the pier, associated buildings, the unique pier railway and also ensuring that information about the heritage of the pier and train is readily available.

We need new members to join the team who manage the work of the Association and plan for the future.

Our work in restoration and spreading information about the history and heritage needs to be organised and planned. This is the essential work, behind the scenes, that is often unrecognised but vital.

Several of the current team are planning to step down after many years of supporting HPHA, so we are looking for people to join our subcommittees and the Board.

Skills

We need people with energy and commitment to the role. We are looking for volunteers who would be able to attend a face to face Board meeting once per month. We also ask that you would be willing to invest at least 4 hours effort per month being involved in the management of the Association.

We are alternatively looking for members to be a part of our sub committee's, where you may choose to be part or lead a sub-committee without being a Board director.

We are particularly looking to bolster the following teams:

• Civil and mechanical engineering
• Project managing 
• Fundraising
