Winchester’s Big Advice Day Conference

14th June 2016 @ Winchester Discovery Centre, Jewry Street, Winchester, Hampshire

We all want to provide high quality information, advice and guidance that is accessible, accurate and appropriate. How can we work together to make sure that we help everyone get the information and advice they need, when they need it?

Almost all voluntary and community groups give advice, even when it isn’t their main role. Many have distinctive specialist services. Under the Care Act 2015, local authorities must provide information, advice and guidance to all who may be eligible for adult social care services.

The valuable and interesting programme for Winchester Big Advice Day Conference includes:

Evidence and analysis of advice needs and trends: What do we know about people who use, or might need, advice services in Winchester District.

Meeting advice needs together: A Winchester case study on how agencies can support each other.

Creating effective help and support: A new resource to support service providers in Winchester District.

Making every contact count: Towards an Advice Charter.

The conference is organised by the Advice Partnership a coalition of over 20 local advice providers including Citizens Advice Winchester District, Community First Winchester and Winchester Action on Climate Change.

To book: please e-mail Vanessa Kitt @ vanessa.kitt@cfirst.org.uk thank-you.
