We have a new member of our Volunteering Team, say hello to Katy!
“My name is Katy and I am the newest member of the Volunteer Service Team. I will be working alongside Jag as a part time Volunteer Service Coordinator. I am new to the charity sector so have lots to learn however, I am sure that Jag and the rest of the team will be fantastic teachers.”
“I have worked in Education for the last 7 years, undertaking several different roles, so I have worked alongside many volunteers and can have seen the impact first hand that volunteering makes. Working in education also means that I am very used to a busy and fast-paced environment, where things are changing on a regular basis.”
“In my spare time I volunteer for a local youth football club where for five years I was the Club Welfare Officer and for the last two years have held the role of Club Secretary, so I know firsthand the impact of volunteering and the joy that it can bring. These are both busy roles and afford me the privilege of working with all of the other volunteers in the club as well as the children and parents that the club serves. I am passionate about improving outcomes for all and believe that volunteering can play a vital role in this by expanding knowledge, social groups and providing a fulfilling service.”
“I am really looking forward to getting stuck in at Community First and over the coming weeks and getting out and about to meet you all.”
