We have a new member of our Volunteering team, say hello to Jen!
“Hi, I’m Jen Clarke and I have recently started as a part-time Volunteer Service Coordinator, alongside the brilliant Jag! I have spent many years working in the Community/Charity Sector, most recently as Marketing Officer for The Phoenix Theatre & Arts Centre in Bordon and before that as a Community Ranger for the Deadwater Valley Trust, both very heavy community engagement roles.”
“Over the last few years I have had the pleasure of working with Community First and some of their wonderful staff, and so I knew a little about the organisation before joining. Over many years I have carried out and been involved in a large number of volunteering roles, from managing a Domestic Violence Helpline, working in a homeless shelter in Portsmouth, Neighbourhood Mediator to more recent ventures, such as helping at the Winchester Hat Fair, temporarily managing the Bordon Food Bank during lockdown, assisting in large scale community events, shopping and befriending for a neighbour during lockdown and pulling pints at The Phoenix!”
“I have recently been working alongside the Volunteer Coordinator at The Phoenix Theatre and so, along with my personal experiences, felt this role at Community First to be appealing, interesting and an excellent way to further my skills.”
“I absolutely thrive on building relationships and engaging with the community, I love talking to people! I think Jag and I are going to be a great team and I’m looking forward to being part of this amazing organisation and working with you.”
