Tim – Chief Executive Officer
I’m proud to support my local community as Chair of Trustees at Rowner Community Trust in Gosport, working with others to strengthen connections in a vibrant neighbourhood. As a ‘back-up’ foster carer, I help provide stability and care for children and young people when they need it most. For the past few years, I’ve also volunteered as a driver at Christmas, helping people who might otherwise be on their own get to our Community First Christmas lunch in Fareham. These small contributions mean a lot to me and are a reminder of the power of kindness, connection and community.
Alex – Chief Operating Officer

From running to running events, my volunteering really started when I volunteered each week at parkrun in Poole, this then grew to being part of the team behind setting up a new park run in Upton Country Park in Dorset and being a regular run director of the weekly voluntary 5k events which take place all over the world every Saturday morning (I even ran with my wife to be the day before our wedding) From here my volunteering moved with me when I moved to Eastleigh and joined The North Stoneham community group as a voluntary trustee organising events and community get togethers from our Christmas light switch on to East egg hunts, raising funds for our community initiatives such our community cooking sessions and community garden. It’s great to volunteer time and see the growth of people’s ideas and community spirit.
Jim – Community Transport Driver
During my working week I drive for Community First and have also qualified to train drivers to the Midas standard. Currently I am the only assessor in the company and it has given me chance to visit all the other sites.
Outside of work I formed and manage North Warnborough Community Football Support Association. This means that I maintain this lovely pitch and Clubhouse for the community after the Landowners donated the land to the community. I’ve worked with the local parish council developing our local plan and feel very proud that this is now dedicated green space.
I have always been involved in Grassroots football including forming Basingstoke Colts some years ago and the current committee have made me a life president. It gives me great pleasure to see this pitch being used by Hartley Wintney Youth, North Warnborough Vets and the local RAF lads. It really does bring the community together and keeps us both busy cutting, marking out and generally keeping the club and surrounding are clean and tidy.

Jo, Eastleigh Community Engagement Coordinator
School Governor (Chair of Governors): I’ve been a school governor in several schools for over 14 years in differing roles and am currently Chair of the Governing Body for my local Junior School. As governors our role is to act as critical friends to the school, providing support and challenge. I’m passionate about education and whilst the role can be difficult at times, it’s really rewarding to support the school to provide the best opportunities and outcomes for our pupils (and their families).
Lucy – Community Spirit Coordinator
Supported Volunteering Coordinator for the Community Spirit group project and I am volunteering twice a week at the Community Spirit allotment.
It’s great being outdoors. None of us knew much about managing an allotment, so we have ‘grown’ together in the last four years. We celebrate what we can do collectively as a team.
Beverley – Assistant Finance Officer
I volunteer at the church that I attend, Leigh Park Baptist Church and have attended this church for 37 years – my goodness that is a long time. Currently my role is assisting with Fun club which runs on a Sunday morning and the age group is pre school, so up to age 5 and I think they move up in September after they are 5.
Fun Club runs on a Sunday morning for about 45 minutes maximum and we have toys for the children to play with, a craft, sometimes a video or a story, drink and biscuits (of course) and just giving the parents a break.
As a parent I always appreciated the time that others gave me when they were looking after my children in a safe and secure environment. I knew that anything that was being discussed would be in agreement with my personal beliefs and that I would feel comfortable with any discussions that they had. Now it is my turn to give to others a bit of peace in a safe and secure space, knowing that their children are being looked after by people that they know are reputable and checked by DBS for the work they are undertaking.
Natalia, Havant Community Development Coordinator
School Parent Governor: Parent Governor at a primary school in Gosport, responsible for leading on safeguarding and attendance. In post since 2020, helping school with governance, legal compliance and sustainable financial management.
“Being parent governor, it’s about holding senior leadership to account but also to have a real opportunity to shape the culture and atmosphere of the school making sure children can thrive and reach their full potential while being safe and nurtured.”
Bethany, Gosport Community Engagement Coordinator
Prospective trustee with @Gosport Community Support, a charity providing vital social support to over 250 Gosport residents each year through visiting befriending services, telephone support, and advocacy — helping people stay connected, independent, and active within their community.
I volunteer for Gosport Community Support because I have previously seen firsthand the positive impact the project has on local people. Witnessing the warmth, connection, and gratitude created through its support services has given me a real appreciation for the Gosport community and inspired me to help continue making a difference.
Jane, Local Children’s Partnership Coordinator
Prospective trustee with Silver Salisbury, a small, local charity that promotes and arranges activities where older people will get a warm welcome in Salisbury and surrounding villages and towns.
