Dreams Come True is a national UK based children’s charity that enriches the lives of children and young adults with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses. We help children and young adults from the age of 2 to 21 years old.
The types of dreams we grant are worldwide holidays, UK holidays, one off experiences, meet and greets and equipment. Fulfilling a dream provides a positive focus, empowering both the child and their family with new enthusiasm and strength to deal with ongoing daily struggles of illness, gruelling hospital treatments and sometimes sad loss.
A Dream Fulfilled
13 year old Libby has a number of health conditions including epilepsy, autism, and hyper mobility. She also has rapidly deteriorating eyesight and uses a nimbo walker for stability and to ease leg pain. Her dream was simple, to meet a real unicorn and have a fairy party as she had never had a party before. Libby’s Mum wrote, “Michelle, our Dreams Co-ordinator, managed to find a Fairy marquee tent complete with a real Fairy entertainer, a unicorn cake as well as a real unicorn. Being able to step away from the hospital appointments and the tough times was a dream come true for me as well. So from the bottom of our hearts Thank you.”

As a Dream Supporter volunteer in Liphook you can get involved in various ways. This includes researching possible fundraising activities in the local area we could get involved in, investigating event ideas or venues (e.g. pub quiz, bake sale etc.), speaking to businesses, schools, pubs etc. about the charity to see if they would be interested in supporting Dreams Come True, help cheering participants at events.
